Green beans can be as simple or as complicated as you like. At Dixie Bones we use a variety of Pole Beans. The first step is to create a stock with the flavor we want to add to the green beans. And then we cook our beans for a very long time so that they are very tender.
Our green beans are one of the most recent items added to the menu. When we were working on the recipe, we decided that we wanted to have a long cooking time. As we mentioned, it makes the green beans very tender versus being crunchy. Some people have seen that as controversial but we love it!
